How to add WordPress to cPanel?

It can be done in a few simple steps:

1.) Download latest version of WordPress from
t will be downloaded in a zip format, save it anywhere in your disk.

2.) Go to ‘File Manager’ under ‘Files’ option inside your cPanel.
Now select your preferred domain (if you have multiple domains).

Before this, you need to make sure that your Domain is pointed to your preferred hosting, see the Tutorial ‘How to add Domain to Hosting.


Click on File Manger inside your cPanel.


3.) In the public HTML, upload ‘‘ file & extract the files there by clicking on the Extract button on Top Right side.
a.) It will create a Folder named WordPress.
b.) Go inside WordPress folder and then ‘Select All’ all the files inside.
c.) Move it outside to main Root (Public HTML)

Step 2 - How to add WordPress to cPanel


4.) Now again go back to your cPanel.
a.) Under ‘Databases’ click on ‘My SQL Database Wizard
b.) Give a new Database name of your choice, click on ‘Next Step’
c.) Now give a new username of your choice, and put a password of your choice.

*** Make sure you have copied the database name, username & the password to a notepad or any other place.***
d.) Then click on ‘Create User
e.) Select ‘All Privileges‘ and click on ‘Next Step

Go to My Sql database and create new database and new user


5.) Now go to Yourdomain/wp-admin.
a.) There you will find a panel which will ask for the Database, Username & Password.
b.) Fill in the details

Go to and fill in database, username & password.

6.) Then it will ask for the following details:
a.) Site Title – Give your name a Title 
b.) Username – Give a Username (Other than admin, because admin is too common & it is easy for hackers to crack)
c.) Password – Give a Password of your choice
d.) Email – Enter your email id, any id which you want to connect to this WordPress account
e.) Now click on Install WordPress.

Enter Site Title, Username, Password and email id. then click on Install WordPress.
